In addition to using the resources below to engage staff and volunteers, we also need you to help educate your community members about the impact of serious plant pests and diseases, the importance of early detection and the role of citizen science. Sentinel Plant Network gardens should regularly offer classes that provide this overview, introduce attendees to the First Detector Network and encourage them to become involved by creating an account, completing their training online and become a certified First Detector.

To order (at no-cost) a Sentinel Plant Network Educator’s Kit and printed copies of our regional guides to Significant Plant Pests and Diseases, email Plant Protection Network Assistant, thale@publicgardens.org.
