These best practices represent a compilation of previous CPC guidelines with updated
recommendations from current research on rare plant conservation. Seed science is a rapidly growing field. To keep abreast of changes in technology and practice, the CPC Best Practices will be a “living” document that is reviewed and updated periodically. These guidelines will be helpful to experienced seed collectors, seed banking experts, and newcomers to rare plant conservation.
