Welcome to part 2 of our Indigenous Inclusion series! In January’s session, we hosted presentations from various gardens/arboreta across the US and Canada to share their efforts with Indigenous/First Nations peoples and organizations.

In this next session, we will be centering Indigenous experiences and perspectives from panelists Marissa Lauren Carmi from the UNC American Indian Center, Vickie Jeffries who is a Occaneechi Saponi Tribal Administrator and owner of mihehetoa.com, and Rebecca Webster who is an Oneida scholar and steward of Ukwakhwa Farm in Oneida, Wisconsin. This conversation intends to further explore relationship building, partnerships and collaborations with our panelists and what that might look like with public gardens.
