Hoyt Arboretum is a 200-acre arboretum with limited staff capacity but an extensive tree collection. This poster highlights how Hoyt has worked with the US Forest Service and Plant Sentinel Network to promote national programs and contribute to national research and plant preservation programs. Through tours and education, Hoyt promotes science and research, as well as contributing their experience growing resistant strains of native tree species to existing knowledge of disease resistance. The poster also highlights the benefits to becoming involved in these programs even when staff time is limited.
This poster was presented at the 2018 Plant Collections Symposium in Vancouver.
