Pam has led American Public Gardens Association’s flagship collections accreditation program, the Plant Collections Network, since 2000, promoting excellence in curation and continent-wide coordination in collections management. She serves as the staff liaison for the Plant Collections, Plant Conservation, and Plant Taxonomy & Nomenclature Professional Sections. Over the years she has co-organized symposia, and contributed to conference programming and logistics. She designed and co-led the association’s first National Issues Forum in 2012, which focused on CBD guidelines and their implications to public gardens.
Pam holds a MS in public gardens administration and museum studies certificate from University of Delaware, and an undergraduate degree in ornamental horticulture from Michigan State University. Her prior experience includes curatorial and horticultural roles at Winterthur, Bartram’s Garden, and Longwood Gardens. She also worked in horticultural industry in Switzerland, Great Britain, and New Zealand.
Pam is passionate about plants, music, and her family. She also enjoys pottery, Arts & Crafts homes and gardens, and exploring new places.
