2025 Urban Agriculture Funding
The USBG and the Association are partnering to support public gardens and their partners in facilitating collaborative urban agriculture, community gardening, and other food-growing programs. Project funding amounts range between $5,000 and $20,000.
Applications are due November 12, 2024
Interested Applicants may review the full criteria for participation.
Benchmarking Update
Garden Benchmarking is open for FY2023 data entry through October 31.
Compensation and Benefits Benchmarking is open for FY2022 Data Entry and Reporting. It will open for FY2024 reporting in 2025.

IMLS Grant Applications Open
Last year APGA member public gardens received over $4M in funding for projects from three IMLS-related grant opportunities. The application process for 2025 Grants is open now. Eight grant categories are available, including $3M specifically dedicated to small museums for projects up to $75K.

Iselin Award Applications Open
The Garden Club of America Hope Goddard Iselin Fellowship in Public Horticulture will award up to a $5,000 grant to a student enrolled in a graduate-level university program to study public horticulture through experiential learning that takes place at a recognized public garden

APGA Becomes CFRE Participating Organization
As a Participating Organization, fundraising professionals who work for gardens that are members of APGA receive a 20 percent discount on Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) initial certification and recertification. CFRE Participating Organizations promote CFRE certification to their members to support fundraising professionals in centering their work on globally accepted ethical best practices.
