What are Botanical Gardens doing that may help the industry, the homeowner, the municipality or your neighbors? Did you know only 14% of wholesale plants sold to the landscape trade are native plants? Does your garden include diversity with both natives and non natives? What programs or educational opportunities are you providing your visitors now that we are seeing an increase of awareness from Native Plant Societies across the US? If you would like to be a part of the discussion or have something to share, we would love to hear from you at this Community Town Hall! Later, let’s put our creative minds together and share what we do during the Christmas or winter season. Some Botanical Gardens may close down, but what are you doing to keep visitors engaged during the “off-season” for gardening. Start thinking about that as we may do a “Christmas in July'” virtual session. Happy Gardening! Sponsored by Longwood Gardens as part of the Garden Management Specialty |
