Virtual Conference and Professional Development Assistant

Briana joined the Association in 2021 as a Virtual Conference and Professional Development Assistant. In her role she assists with organizing the annual conference and putting together professional development events for members. Briana is originally from Madison, WI and has a BA in Environmental Geology and Modern Languages from Beloit College, and a MA in Geography from Miami University.

She became interested in horticulture during an internship at Miriam C. Schmidt Botanical Garden on the Caribbean island of St. Eustatius, and has since worked at Morton Arboretum, Oak Spring Garden Foundation, and Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Briana is passionate about preserving plant diversity, connecting people with plants and nature, and sustainability.

She currently lives in Virginia Beach and when not working for the Association you can usually find her out in the garden planting, harvesting, or arranging flowers for her flower business, So Many Flowers.
