Public gardens are everywhere, connecting people to plants in vibrant and impactful ways. As the Association that connects, protects and champions the work of public gardens, we work daily to provide our Members with the resources they want and need to make their gardens an indispensable part of their community…and of our world.
Philanthropy fuels our innovation, and keeps the Association responsive and able to respond to new opportunities to serve our Members.
Make an impact on others with your gift:
1) Make the Connection – Annual Fund 2018 or text APGACONNECT to 41444
Your gift will help our Association carry out several member-inspired initiatives to CONNECT, PROTECT, and CHAMPION our gardens and members in the coming year:
- CONNECT GARDENS via an online platform for gardens to buy, sell, or swap their resources and MEMBERS through a mentor/mentee connection, garden board member network, and garden leaders through a community of their own
- PROTECT members through best practices programs/resources and the Association through critical technology upgrades
- CHAMPION Gardens through benchmarking and advocacy, and stimulate their fundraising through a mobile platform for disaster recovery or National Public Gardens Week
2) Garden Scholars Fund
Your gift will be applied towards scholarships to enable a student, emerging- or mid-career professional an opportunity to network, be inspired by new ideas, and advance their skills by covering registration and travel costs to attend one of the Association’s regional symposia or the Annual Conference in 2019. Last year 21 scholarships were award – help us reach 25 in 2019!

3) MYGARDEN Campaign
Join with thousands in a nationwide fundraising campaign! Support your favorite public garden by participating in our inaugural MYGARDEN mobile fundraising campaign to take place May 13-19, 2019, in conjunction with National Public Gardens Week. Each participating garden will have a special MYGARDEN keyword for text-to-give and online giving. For added impact, individuals can sign on to help their local public garden raise funds through their social media platforms. Stay tuned for more information about this campaign.
