The Institute of Museum and Library Services offers a variety of grants that are great resources for public gardens. The grant application process can be rigorous, and managing grant projects successfully requires careful planning and resource allocation. Bellevue Botanical Garden, Winterthur Garden, and Montgomery Botanical Center are recent recipients of IMLS grants. This panel discussion will explore IMLS grant offerings, offer tips to creating successful grant proposals, share experiences planning, resourcing, and managing IMLS grant projects, and discuss the impacts IMLS grants have had on these gardens. Bring your questions to this presentation as audience participation is encouraged.
