The Smithsonian Butterfly Habitat Garden lies along the National Museum of Natural History between the National Mall and Constitution Avenue where millions of visitors walk each year. The garden features plant species that provide food and habitat butterflies native to the eastern United States, and includes plant labels that indicate which butterfly life cycles (egg, larva, pupa, or adult) each species supports.
