Sustainable international collaborations involve a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship that is frequently unique to both institutions. Each of the presenters in this session have distilled the essence of success and come prepared to share with participants. Audience members will be inspired by the creative approaches used to bridge national, cultural, and often language barriers to build international collaborations. Representatives of the North American China Plant Exploration Consortium (NACPEC), the Plant Collections Consortium(PCC), United States Department of Agriculture Research Service Genetic Resources Information Network (USDA-ARS-GRIN), Montgomery Botanical Center (MBG), and Longwood Gardens (LG) will share their strategies for building successful relationships with
institutions around the World.
