This session aims to explore ways that Gardens are harnessing the power of food to connect and convene diverse communities through stories of people, programs, practices, policy, procurement, and fund development. The presenters in this session are active food literacy leaders in their garden and community. They come to the session representing different approaches to integrating food into gardens with the goal of demonstrating multiple pathways that lead to our plates of food. Speakers will help develop an understanding of how food, agriculture, and culinary programs can be integrated into different garden departments and programs. Take action to advance your programs to further the mission of your institution while connecting to local communities in new ways.
