The Checklist is a listing of published names of cultivated magnolias in PDF format. This new listing is the result of years of effort by Magnolia Society International (MSI) member volunteers. This document serves as a checklist of Magnolia cultivars known to have been historically selected and/or introduced into horticulture. The purpose of this checklist is first and foremost, to provide clarification on what MSI, in their capacity as International Cultivar Registration Authority for the Magnoliaceae, views to be the currently accepted name for each cultivar in accordance with the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants.
