How can we captivate audiences through the bounty of our gardens? Food crops are one of the most approachable plant-related topics and can be a gateway to broader plant conservation discussions. Yet, how can we use these food crops and tell their stories in engaging forms that are meaningful and impactful? Some topics covered in this session will include how collections can be used for: Development and marketing platforms, special donor events, café use and special event meals, programming (including cooking classes and robust donation programs), farm stands and CSAs, garden store sales, and wood products made into saleable items for a university store.
