This 60-minute panel will provide an opportunity to learn how to successfully host and conduct a Red List workshop. Participants will gain a better understanding on the relevance of red listing for conservation planning for which botanical gardens can play an important role. The panel will include leaders of workshops that were held on four islands or island groups, a tropical continental region, and globally distributed trees (oaks) and cycads. Several of these workshops were held in botanical gardens. Participants will better understand the process, making it seem less daunting, and clearly outline the benefits to practical species conservation.
