The Global Strategy for Plant Conservation includes five objectives and 16 targets for plant conservation to be achieved by 2020. The aim of this Guide is to introduce the objectives and targets, providing background information explaining the need for and purpose of each target. The Guide also indicates the current status of implementation and gives links to further sources of information relevant to each target.
