USDA-Agricultural Research Service Collaboration

ABOUT

American Public Gardens Association has partnered with USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) since 1995 to develop Plant Collections Network.

We work closely with staff at US National Arboretum to accredit exceptional plant collections in public gardens, train peer site reviewers, and promote standards of excellence in plant collections management. Together with curators within the National Plant Germplasm System, we build and safeguard comprehensive collections of economically important plants for research, conservation, and public education.
