Job Description 

The Assistant Director Physical Facilities, under the direction of an Associate Director or above, plays an integral role in the design, development, implementation and interpretation of departmental processes and/or programs.

Typical Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall administration of programs, policies & procedures for a functional area within the department and the interpretation thereof. Oversee the Facilities Automated Management Information System (FAMIS) database application. Manage all aspects of landscaping, grounds, vehicle maintenance, and refuse & recycling. Manage scheduling, budgeting, personnel actions, administration, campus woodland management and water conservation. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and objectives to ensure departmental goals are met. Design and deliver presentations, workshops and educational/training materials. Train and supervise work of staff, students and volunteers as assigned. May represent the Director in his/her absence. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

Education and Experience 

Required Qualifications
A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization and four years of experience directly related to the job functions.
