Supervisor: Manager of Membership Programs
FLSA Salary Classification: Part time
Availability: Position may require occasional extended work hours, including evenings and weekends.
The Membership Coordinator will perform functions supporting the promotion and growth of Garden membership sales, support and recognition activities. The Membership Coordinator will assist in all aspects of membership, from serving as the first point of contact for membership related questions to organizing events to recruit new members. This individual will be tasked with maintaining records, tracking membership figures, and coordinating with the accounting department regarding the deposit of membership revenue.
Handle questions, information requests, and complaints regarding membership.
Process membership applications, renewals and resignations.
Maintain and update membership records.
Assist with member communication activities.
Collect data, track membership statistics, and prepare reports.
Assist with developing and implementing strategies to recruit new members and retain existing members.
Prepare membership deposits in a timely manner, reconciling deposit information to both the constituent database and the Garden’s financial records. Perform membership end of the month closing procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of membership applications, renewal mailings, card distribution and all other clerical processes associated with membership functions.
Provide membership sales support for various Garden and community outreach events.
Prepare membership marketing materials.
Assist with organizing events and activities for existing and prospective members.

High school diploma/GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in Altru or similar database management system preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to think creatively and take initiative.
