The Development Department at Holden Forests & Gardens (HF&G) seeks a Campaign Coordinator to execute administrative support of campaign initiatives, internal and external events, and major giving for Holden Forests & Gardens. The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for supporting staff and volunteer leadership in planning and executing fundraising activities related to the campaign. The Campaign Coordinator applies exceptional organizational and data management skills while working closely with HF&G’s development team, campaign volunteers, and campaign counsel to coordinate campaign responsibilities. This position is time-limited to the duration of the current capital campaign which is estimated to last for five years. This position is based out of the Cleveland Botanical Garden in Cleveland, OH with occasional travel to the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, OH. Position Details:
Reports to Vice President of Development
Non-Exempt position
Full-Time
Hybrid office setting
Limited time position, approximately 5 years
Supports Holden Forests & Gardens mission, vision, values and core commitment
Supports the administrative campaign needs of the President & CEO, VP of Development, frontline development staff, and campaign volunteers
Manages engagement and cultivation responsibilities including coordinating site visits, tours, and lunch reservations; sending confirmations; maintaining guest lists for informational gatherings and events; and preparing and providing support for staff, board and volunteers
Prepares materials for major donor meetings
Executes follow-up from major donor meetings including thank you notes, sending materials, and completing any promised actions
Works with Development Operations Manager to track and monitor the progress of all campaign cultivation and solicitation efforts in Altru and generates timely reports to summarize campaign activity
Manages logistics for all campaign prospect visits, including scheduling appointments, coordinating travel plans, preparing meeting materials, entering contact reports, and facilitating post-visit follow-up
Staffs the Campaign Steering Committee meetings and executes meeting logistics, including sending meeting notices and materials, preparing agendas and campaign status reports, taking notes, and executing follow-up with committee members
Collaborates with the Development Communications Specialist on the production of all campaign collateral
Works closely with the Donor Stewardship & Events Manager to implement campaign cultivation events and activities
Serves as the central information point for all campaign activities
Attends, as requested, all campaign-related meetings and documents proceedings
Executes other duties as assigned in support of the campaign and development department

Demonstrated passion for people and nature
At least 3 years of administrative support experience in a development or alumni office or similar setting, required
College degree, preferred
Experience working in a non-profit organization, preferred
Experience managing budgets, preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience supporting staff members, planning and executing meetings and small events
Basic understanding of various components of a development program, including moves management and major gift fundraising
Experience working in a major campaign environment, a plus

Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to get from one campus to another
Occasionally lifting and carrying of up to 20 lbs., sometimes 25 lbs.
