This position supports and moderates programs, classes, and activities within Denver Botanic Gardens’ School of Botanical Art & Illustration online or on-site. Programs include, but are not limited to classes, workshops, artist demonstrations, lectures, and special events. Teaching Production Assistants are expected to successfully run audio-visual equipment, meeting software tools, and various procedures to ensure technology stability for program delivery, as well as facilitate interaction and safe, positive experiences for participants. Additional responsibilities include coordination of program logistics, material maintenance, and accurate record keeping.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Essential Job Duties:
Prepare, support, and moderate assigned online and on-site programs, including but not limited to webinars, workshops, demonstrations, lessons, labs, presentations, discussions, symposia, events, classes, and offsite/online outreach.
Moderate and schedule online Zoom (or another platform) learning sessions, assisting instructors and participants both. Coordinate necessary recordings and related post-program access.
Keep accurate records of attendance, programs, confirmations, or other matters as needed.
Troubleshoot common or unexpected difficulties, reporting to and relying on additional help proportionate to the situation.
Communicate with participants in advance of and during sessions as necessary including but not limited to class announcements, program promotion, and class surveying
Become familiar with and respond to in-class inquiries about Denver Botanic Gardens and its programming in particular the School of Botanical Art & Illustration.
Follow established protocols for technological and programming success.
Set expectations for groups or individual participants, support program participants and enforce standards when necessary.
Prepare materials and equipment for assigned programs.
Work in cooperation with guest instructors, technical support, and others to ensure program success.
Other Job Duties:
Assist with coordinating materials, programs, volunteers, and schedules.
Assist with other Denver Botanic Gardens programs as needed.
Work to assure the highest quality experience for all DBG visitors.
Maintain satisfactory working relationships with managers, co-workers, and others.
Maintain a positive, helpful, and solution-oriented demeanor when responding to or serving members and visitors.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Prior knowledge and related previous experience preferred, including training or education. Flexibility in changing circumstances and high energy required. Must be capable of working independently and in a team environment. Must be available to work flexible hours during the workweek and weekend. Familiarity with Zoom and Microsoft Windows-based systems and the Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software) required. Experience with an additional conferencing platform or similar desirable. Fluent Spanish skills are desirable.
