JOB SUMMARY:

This position has experience working in all areas of Human Resources (e.g., Recruiting, hiring, training, filing). Individual must be a self-starter and highly motivated to provide superior quality Administrative support to the Human Resources Director. Individual must be a team player and be able to multi-task and adjust to quickly changing circumstances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Responsibilities include: clerical support, assisting with the process of recruitment, including vetting candidates, assisting with interviews and schedule coordination.
Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Compiling and maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resources files and employee records.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars.
Coordinating logistics for new hire orientation.
Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications.
Assist with the execution, and finalization of all Employee events such as benefit enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other special events.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability, as well as competencies, required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree in related field required.
Three or more years' experience as an HR Assistant or related position
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
Extremely well organized and have excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of employment law and human resources responsibilities.
Professional demeanor.
Maintain confidentiality/cognizant of surroundings.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
