The American Public Gardens Association offers a suite of engaging professional development opportunities to fit the needs and budgets of all those in its membership. Opportunities include:

Professional Communities – The Association's Professional Communities connect you with thousands of public horticulture professionals in over 20 areas of interest. You can Find Your Specialty to help you identify the best Communities for you! You must be a logged in member of the Association to access the Communities.

Association Events – The Assoication has many face-to-face collaborative symposia that provide professionals in similar fields the opportunity to effectively network, share ideas, and discuss challenges and successes in exciting, educational settings. In addition, the Association’s popular, weeklong Annual Conference offers a wealth of tours, workshops, sessions and networking opportunities. Check out the Events page for more information.

External Events – The Events Page also has links to professional development events produced by other organizations which are curated for your interest.

Public Garden magazine – Our informative industry magazine is published quarterly and provides a wealth of information for member gardens, while also offering them engaging ways to share about their gardens and programs. Learn more.

Library Media Center – The Association's Library and Media Center includes recorded webinars, videos, publications and documents, presentations, and more! This is a great resource for professionals in need of finding resources unique to their professional expertise. Association staff are always open to offering new, innovative professional development opportunities to members.
