Charles Hunter NPD presently holds the position of Director of Horticulture with the Niagara Parks Commission. Since becoming a graduate of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture in 1995 Mr. Hunter has held a broad spectrum of positions within the field of horticulture.
Previously, he acted as Superintendent to the Niagara Parks Commission Botanical Gardens, School of Horticulture and Butterfly Conservatory, and held the role of Chief of Horticulture for Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal 2003 and 2004.
He also managed Canada’s first “Agro-tourism” facility, participated in international horticultural exhibitions, supervised landscape maintenance crews, managed estate gardens, appeared on television, hosted garden radio programs, and lectured to university, college and foreign faculties on horticulture.
