Mt. Cuba Center welcomes Caroline Ralston as director of marketing, communications and membership.
Ralston brings a career of experience in communications and marketing, most recently as the senior director of marketing and communications at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Salt Lake City, UT, where she used strategic marketing to grow aquarium attendance and revenue by more than 20 percent over three years, reaching nearly one million guests per year. Additionally, Ralston managed the aquarium’s brand on a national scale and secured media coverage from The New York Times, among other reputable outlets. Prior to the aquarium, she worked in book publishing and marketing agencies in New York City, Philadelphia and Salt Lake City.
“With her diverse marketing experience and impressive record of accomplishments, we’re excited to welcome Caroline Ralston to Mt. Cuba Center,” said Jeff Downing, Mt. Cuba Center’s executive director. “As we continue to expand our programming, increase our audience, and grow our membership base, Caroline is a valued addition to the Mt. Cuba team.”
Ralston said: “I have only been here two weeks, and already the Mt. Cuba Center team has wowed me. I am absolutely thrilled to join such a passionate, intelligent group of professionals. I look forward to helping further the Mt. Cuba mission and share the outstanding conservation, research and educational work happening here daily with a broader audience.”
As Director of Marketing, Communications and Membership, Ralston will steward Mt. Cuba Center’s image and brand during a period of expansion and growth envisioned in a new master plan and deepen Mt. Cuba Center’s relationship with the garden’s members.
