We’re looking for a hands-on horticultural leader to keep our grounds and arboretum in show condition every day of the year. As Homeplace Horticultural Supervisor, you’ll lead a versatile grounds team, own seasonal planning and the daily work order system, and play a direct role in our pursuit of botanical garden accreditation. For over 200 years, Buffalo Trace Distillery has stood on the banks of the Kentucky River — a National Historic Landmark, a working distillery, and home to an arboretum that welcomes visitors from around the world. Our grounds aren’t just landscaping; they’re part of the guest experience at one of the most-awarded distilleries on earth, with seven Distillery of the Year titles and 150+ awards for our premium whiskies.

• Lead, train, and inspect the work of the grounds team, holding horticultural practices to the highest standard
• Safeguard the health of the Buffalo Trace plant collection and keep the plant records database and labeling current
• Plan and execute seasonal color and landscape enhancements
• Support garden and arboretum tours, public educational programs, and accreditation requirements
• Partner with the Homeplace Planner/Coordinator and management on scheduling, SOP development, and contractor management
• Pitch in on the Homeplace team’s full range of work — event and holiday setup, building maintenance, and more
• Keep safety front and center in every project
