Group Sales Coordinator
The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for Mt. Cuba’s group sales from initial reservation to day-of coordination and service, while also collaborating on marketing efforts to identify growth opportunities, maximize group attendance and revenue, and maintaining evaluation and reporting methods to ensure the continued success of the group sales program and the remarkable experiences it generates.
Group Sales and Facility Rental Coordination
Develop and grow group sales and facility rentals, providing information and leading site visits for potential customers, managing communications with these groups, and ensuring accurate accounting of transactions and attendance within the ticketing system
Ensure remarkable experiences for these groups by communicating group and rental needs to members of the Guest Experience department for proper implementation/execution
Greet groups and function as the Supervisor on Duty when necessary
Collaborate with other departments to deliver on special group requests including special tours, programming, and speaker requests
Group Sales Generation, Reporting, and Evaluation
Collaborate with Mt. Cuba’s Marketing Department as well as the Delaware tourism industry to successfully market Mt. Cuba’s group offerings
Maintain effective methods of reporting and evaluation of group sales to ensure key performance indicators are tracked
Support Guest and Organizational Programs related to Public Programs
Provide knowledge and guidance to support guest and organizational initiatives related to profession
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years’ work experience in group sales, event planning, community engagement, education
Active certification in a State of Delaware approved Alcoholic Beverage Servers Program or a willingness to complete the certification within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of registration database systems and Microsoft Office Suite programs
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Basic math skills
Ability to effectively communicate with the staff and the public
Ability to learn and adapt to various software and technology programs to complete work duties
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, organized, attentive to details, and the ability to manage time and effectively function without close supervision
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and special events as needed
Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Constant computer work and keyboarding are involved. Limited physical work is also required including frequent standing for extended periods of time, walking up and down hills and on uneven terrain, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 25 pounds
Please note this is a Part Time, nonexempt position working a max of 1,560 hours per year with an average of 25 hours per week. A typical schedule will include working Weekdays with occasional evening and weekend hours; however, an alternative schedule that meets the candidate’s needs could be considered.

The starting compensation for this Part Time position is expected to be $20-$23 per hour.
