Created in 1938 as a Works Progress Administration project, Norfolk Botanical Garden is an oasis of more than 50 themed gardens that encompass 175 beautiful acres. Surrounded by water on three sides with picturesque canals, it is one of the only botanical gardens in the U.S. you can explore on foot, by tram or by boat. From stunning plant collections to our award-winning Children’s Garden, this diverse landscape contains one of the largest collections of azaleas, roses, camellias, and crapemyrtles on the East Coast.
