The Sentinel Plant Network Workshops are going virtual this year!
Calling all Northeast Gardens! Our upcoming Sentinel Plant Network training for the Northeastern Region* will be virtual this year and is scheduled for the week of July 12-16, 2021. As a member garden of the Sentinel Plant Network, your organization will be eligible to have two staff members participate in this workshop. There is no registration fee, and we will be sending attendees detailed instructions and a package with all the materials needed for the events! Joining the Sentinel Plant Network is free for members of the American Public Gardens Association.
During the workshop:
· Attendees will learn how to interpret signs and symptoms of different kinds of plant pests and diseases and work more efficiently with diagnosticians and regulatory officials to stop serious threats.
· We will debut new Sentinel Plant Network resources for front line horticulturists and plant health care professionals including scouting alerts, monitoring checklists, identification aids and train-the-trainer materials.
· The workshop will include an overview of the program's educational outreach materials and guidance on how to integrate them into your garden.
