In this course students explore how Therapeutic Horticulture supports human health & wellness, including physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs. The course structure supports vibrant engagement via discussion threads, assignment feedback and provides a unique opportunity to research, discuss, and reflect on people/plant relationships. Suitable for anyone interested in learning more about this unique therapeutic method, including allied health professionals and other practitioners who want to learn how to integrate Therapeutic Horticulture into their own disciplines.
A foundational course in Therapeutic Horticulture, the only requirement is internet access for this fully online, self-paced, non-credit course. The 6-week course supports weekly, active, online engagement among students and Instructors through engaging discussion forums and assignments. There is open access 24/7 plus an additional six months of resource materials access after the course formally ends.
The pre-course week includes how to navigate the moodle platform, introducing yourself to instructors and other students, and other pertinent information relative to the course. This opens on April 3, 2023. The instructor engagement portion of the course will open on April 10, 2023.
