Interpretive Master Plans (IMPs) are an integral tool for curating the desired visitor experiences starting before the visitor steps into our gardens and lasting even after their drive home. But for many of us, we are still unsure WHAT IMPs are? WHY invest the time, money, and energy into developing one? WHEN should I start? WHO should be involved? And perhaps, most importantly, HOW do I embark on this journey? Join us as we dive into these questions and share our own experiences in starting, creating, and implementing IMPs at an array of gardens.

And, yes, we're happy to share a copy of our IMP with you!

Eddy Dawson, Director of Programs, Red Butte Garden & Arboretum

Sarah Fiorello, Interpretation Coordinator, Cornell Botanic Gardens

Chuck Lennox, Principal, Lennox Insites

Libby Rhoads, Public Programs Supervisor, United States Botanic Gardens
