Presented by the International Gardens Community

Join us for an open and honest discussion centered around how we can make our conservation and research practices more inclusive, equitable, and ethical. This webinar will begin with a presentation on University of Oxford’s Code of Conduct for Ethical Fieldwork and the problems that can arise from “Parachute Science” by Morton Arboretum’s Director of Global Tree Conservation, Silvia Alvarez-Clare, PhD. The presentation will be followed by an activity on real-world scenarios regarding issues that may arise when working with local communities and best practices as a highlight of the event.

Cost: Free for Members; $15 for Non-Members.
