Presented by the Education Professional Community

In celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day in May, join the Education Community in partnership with the IDEA Center for Public Gardens and Daniel Lamarco from the Barton Rogers Group for a look into the future of accessibility and what gardens of all sizes and budgets can do to improve access for our visitors with disabilities. The discussion will include:

  • Brief overview of existing laws under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the pending Communications, Video and Technology Act that is expected to pass into law later this year.
  • Simple changes that can be done to ensure compliance with ADA laws.
  • Exciting new interactive technologies that are changing accessibility norms and becoming mainstream.

Barton Rogers Group is a Digital Signage & Wayfinding company that focuses on making public facing information accessible. Storm Interface is a manufacturer of accessible devices for the Digital Signage and Kiosk industry.
