The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with CanmetENERGY (Government of Canada), will host a webinar on the Benchmark Analysis Module of RETScreen Expert, a Clean Energy Management Software system for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and cogeneration project feasibility analysis as well as ongoing energy performance analysis.
Energy benchmarking can help designers, facility operators, managers, and senior decision makers quickly gauge a facility’s energy performance. Benchmarking allows you to estimate the expected energy consumption or production (versus reference facilities) and get an idea of the scope for improvements. RETScreen's Benchmark Analysis Module allows you to quickly establish reference climate conditions at a facility site for any location on earth and compare the energy performance of various types of reference (benchmark) facilities with the estimated (modeled) or measured (actual) annual energy consumption of a facility.
This webinar will introduce you to RETScreen Expert's Benchmark Analysis Module, including demonstrations of how to establish your own benchmarks and how to use RETScreen's extensive benchmark database. You will also learn how to use the various tools available in the software to establish, validate, and update your benchmark. Finally, as you progress through the steps of your clean energy project analysis (from feasibility analysis to performance analysis and eventually portfolio analysis), you'll learn what is required at each step to keep your benchmark relevant.
The presentations will be followed by an interactive question-and-answer session with the audience.
