The Partnership

Our current partnership emerged in 2012 from a collaboration between Esri, the UC Davis Arboretum & Public Garden, the Zoological Society of San Diego, and the Missouri Botanical Garden with the shared goal to increase the capacity of public gardens to conserve plant diversity through the use of geographic information systems. By providing ex situ collection and landscape managers with access to leading-edge information management tools and training resources at low-cost, we hope that it will support your efforts to increase awareness and concern for plant conservation through the sharing of rich scientific and interpretive information with your staff, researchers, and visitors.

Whether your goal is to share your collection maintenance priorities with your staff via a mobile app, accession records with researchers via the web, or the status of an endangered wild-collected plant in your collection with visitors via an interpretive app, the Esri ArcGIS software platform provides the tools to help you meet your goals.
