Public Horticulture Internships

Fellows Riverside Gardens has two Public Horticulture internships available. Interns will gain practical career experience while working hands-on with staff in various areas of public horticulture including education, graphics, development and horticulture.

Intern stipend is $10/hour for a 40-hour work week for an approximately three-month-long internship. Housing is available for out-of-town students. Applicants must demonstrate an interest in pursuing public horticulture as a career and be pursuing a degree in Public Horticulture or related field.

Fellows Riverside Gardens is a 12-acre public display garden within Mill Creek MetroParks in Youngstown, OH. Plant collections include beeches, daffodils, rhododendrons, and roses. Mill Creek MetroParks is comprised of 4500 acres throughout Mahoning County, OH. Recreational facilities include 2 - 18 hole golf courses, Par 3 courses, boating and kayaking, many hiking trails and a working Grist Mill.
