Wayne, PA — [July 31, 2025] Chanticleer is pleased to announce the appointment of E. Yvette Weaver to the newly established position of Planning & Engagement Manager. A seasoned leader in public horticulture and community engagement, Weaver brings a dynamic blend of strategic vision,  relationship building, and horticultural expertise to Chanticleer’s leadership team.

This new role was created to support Chanticleer’s strategic priorities across multiple areas, including advancing key initiatives, growing community partnerships, and establishing advancement and fundraising for the organization. As Planning & Engagement Manager, Weaver will work closely with the Executive Director and other leaders to amplify Chanticleer’s mission: to operate the property as a beautiful public garden, maintain the historic Chanticleer House as a museum, and educate both amateur and professional gardeners.

Weaver said, “I am thrilled to contribute to this esteemed garden, which is centered on the art of horticulture and educating horticulturists at all levels. I look forward to collaborating with this talented team to advance key initiatives and plans, driving the vision of the garden.”

Weaver is originally from New York and her professional background includes horticultural roles at The High Line and the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Cloisters. She also served as a John Nally Intern at Wave Hill. As a recent graduate of the 2024-2025 Longwood Fellows Program, Weaver worked at Alnwick Garden in England and co-created a workshop and materials on public garden community initiatives.

With a deep commitment to public garden leadership and a track record of cultivating inclusive partnerships, she is uniquely positioned to help Chanticleer deepen its impact while building toward an exciting future.

“We are thrilled to welcome Yvette to the Chanticleer team,” said Executive Director and Head Gardener Bill Thomas. “Her thoughtful approach, creative energy, and dedication to horticultural excellence will be instrumental as we continue strategic growth and connections with the community.”

Weaver began her new role on July 7, 2025.
