BUFFALO, NY – December 4, 2024: Today, the Board of Directors for the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens announce the unanimous appointment of Erin Grajek as President and CEO, effective immediately. Erin has served as Interim President and CEO since the passing of Mark Mortenson in September. Prior to this role, she was the organization’s COO beginning in 2021 and has held various progressive leadership positions at the Botanical Gardens since 2006.
“Erin’s years of dedication and experience at the Botanical Gardens, combined with her proven ability to be a strong, capable leader during challenging times, made her the clear choice for this position,” said Tisha Luciani, Board Chair of the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. “We are 100% confident in Erin’s ability to move the organization forward, particularly through our ambitious expansion plan.”
