Theodore, Ala. – March 26, 2026Bellingrath Gardens & Home has named Hunter King as Director of Finance, adding to its leadership team during a period of continued growth and strategic investment.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, King recently relocated to Mobile from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He brings more than 14 years of business financial management and guidance experience in the for-profit sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Mississippi and an associate degree in Forestry, bringing both financial expertise and a strong understanding of natural resources to the organization.

In this role, King will oversee all financial operations, supporting Bellingrath’s mission while strengthening long-term fiscal sustainability. His appointment comes as the Gardens build on record attendance, expanded programming, and the implementation of a long-range Master Plan.

Bellingrath Gardens and Home is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the 65-acre gardens and historic estate of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath. Located on the Fowl River south of Mobile, Alabama, Bellingrath Gardens & Home is known as “The Charmed Spot of the South” and offers exceptional horticultural, educational, and cultural experiences.
