Lisa Comento

Lisa joined the Association in September 2022 as our Marketing & Communications Assistant. She manages our social media channels and develops our newsletters and event eblasts. Before APGA, she worked with the World Wildlife Fund on their Media & External Affairs team, bringing with her a strong background in PR and media relations.

Passionate about the power of social media, Lisa loves using it to share member stories, spark connections, and inspire audiences. She especially enjoys creating seasonal campaigns where she can collaborate directly with our members. With her art background, she adds a creative touch to our posts, designing graphics that highlight events, webinars, and symposiums.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she resides on the East Coast. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in journalism. Beyond work, she’s an active volunteer with environmental groups. In her free time, you might find her exploring a new city, cooking, baking, hiking, gardening, painting, making jewelry, or hanging out with her favorite four-legged friend, Ellie, the Schnoodle (she’s a devoted dog and overall animal lover).
