Lisa joined the Association in September 2022 as the Marketing & Communications Assistant. In her role, she manages our social media channels and assists with the development of our newsletter and eblasts. She loves how social media connects people across the globe and is a vehicle to share stories and inspire others.
Lisa grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where her love for nature and taking care of the environment began to blossom. She started her college studies at Sonoma State University and finished at North Carolina State University with a B.A. in English/Journalism.
In 2007, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she honed her social media skills after managing accounts for chefs and restaurants. She also has a background in public relations and media relations.
She moved back to North Carolina during the pandemic to work remotely. The break from living in the city allowed her the opportunity to learn how to garden. In her spare time, you can find her painting, cooking, traveling, attending concerts, or volunteering her time with an ocean organization
