Hoyt Arboretum is a museum of living trees in Portland, Oregon that exhibits over 2,300 species of trees and plants from around the world. The arboretum – which nurtures 6,000 specimens from 6 continents, 63 of which are vulnerable or endangered -- is open free to the public and encompasses 189 ridge-top acres accessible by 12 miles of trails. In addition to providing a public space for outdoor recreation year round, the visitor center offers classes, tours, and educational resources aimed to educate about conservation and plant biodiversity.
