Cummer Gardens is a unique example of early 20th century garden design with features such as reflecting pools, fountains, arbors, and sculptures. A prominent attraction in the garden is the Cummer Oak, which is estimated to be 175 to 200 years old, with a canopy of more than 150 feet. The Cummer Museum of Art is the largest fine arts museum in Northeast Florida, offering world-class art, spanning from 2100 B.C. through the 21st century, and special exhibitions from around the world. The museum is also home to Art Connections, the museum s interactive education center, where visitors of all abilities can connect with works of art in the permanent collection and to the natural beauty of the Gardens.
