Vismara Promoted to Horticulture Division Chief
Brookside Gardens is very pleased to announce that David Vismara, director of Brookside Gardens, has been promoted to Horticultural Services Division Chief with Montgomery Parks which is part of the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission. The Division is responsible for all county-wide horticultural services including Brookside Gardens, the arborists crew, and the Pope Farm Nursery, which supplies plants to more than 400 park facilities within Montgomery County, Maryland. David's career in horticulture has spanned 30 years, the last thirteen years at Brookside Gardens. David came to Brookside Gardens from the Chicago Botanic Garden where he served as Manager of Horticultural Services, and before that at the Missouri Botanic Garden, and Powell Gardens .
