Carol Line Named Executive Director at Fernwood

Carol Line recently joined the staff of Fernwood Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve in Michigan as the garden's new executive director. Line arrived at Fernwood from Chicago Botanic Garden and brings to the position more than 20 years of public garden experience. Line served APGA as resource center coordinator while the association was headquartered at Chanticleer and Longwood Gardens and continues to serve on the APGA editorial advisory board. In addition to her work with APGA and Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI-US), Carol gained understanding and appreciation of how gardens work from her work experience at the Huntington Botanical Gardens, Denver Botanic Gardens, The Morton Arboretum, and the Arnold Arboretum. Line said, "Dr. Harrison Flint started me on this course while I was an undergrad at Purdue, and I credit Harrison and so many colleagues across the country and beyond for their mentoring and collegial support through the years."
