Idaho Botanical Garden names Rundberg as Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Idaho Botanical Garden is pleased to announce that Julia Rundberg has been named Executive Director. She will assure that the Garden provides a full garden experience for all ages that enhances the quality of life through plant collections, education programs, and entertainment, cultural and community events. Rundberg has a B.A. in Biology, a mini-MBA in Nonprofit Management and has completed course work toward a Masters of Science Degree in Natural Resource Management. Most recently she was the State Trails Coordinator for the Department of Natural Resources for the state of Minnesota. Rundberg has experience in fund raising and was the Development Director for the Parks and Trails Council of Minnesota. She hasalso worked as a naturalist and educator in Minnesota, building ona lifelong interest in connecting people to the outdoors.An active volunteer, Rundberg served as President of the National Association of Recreation Resource Planners, Chairperson of the Minnesota Bicycle Advisory Committee, is a volunteer First Aid and CPR instructor for the American Red Cross and active in the Minnesota Chorale.
