AHS Names Hundley President and CEO
Deane H. Hundley has been named the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Horticultural Society (AHS). Hundley comes to the AHS with more than 25 years of experience in administration and fundraising for non-profit organizations. Most recently, he was a senior consultant with Ketchum, Inc. of Dallas, Texas, a fundraising firm that specializes in working with non-profits. Prior to that, Hundley was chief operating officer for the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, Florida. At Fairchild, he oversaw all financial and business operations for the 100-acre botanical garden. He also developed and implemented the garden's first organized fundraising program and carried out a major feasibility study for Fairchild's first capital campaign, which raised more than $13 million.
