
John Scully, CEO of Denver Botanic Gardens has announced that he will step down in mid-August because of health and personal reasons. Scully has been the garden's chief executive since April 2004. The gardens' board of trustees has assembled a special committee to launch a national search for Scully's successor. In other news, Denver Botanic Gardens has hired Sarada Krishnan as Director of Horticulture. Krishnan will be responsible for directing the design and maintenance of the horticulture gardens and collections. She has extensive experience in conservation and horticulture programs, and joins the Gardens after six years at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, CO. Roberta Tolan is the new Director of Education and Interpretation. She will develop and implement the education and interpretation programs at Denver Botanic Gardens. Tolan joins the Gardens after seven years as the Horticulture Extension Educator at Colorado State University Cooperative Extension.
