As you are planning for the 2012 year, don’t forget to include National Public Gardens Day! Scheduled for the Friday before Mother’s Day, National Public Gardens Day will take place on May 11, 2012.
National Public Gardens Day was developed by the APGA and corporate presenter Rain Bird in an effort to raise public awareness about the importance of public gardens. It is a wonderful opportunity to reach out to your community and get them excited about all of the services, educational opportunities, and resources you have to offer.
As the date nears, there will be customizable materials available on this page to help you communicate the program to your community. Please click here to download the National Public Gardens Day logo.
This zipped package includes a vector file, high resolution tiff, web file, and transparent background file for your use. Stay tuned for more!
Join us in our partnership with Better Homes and Gardens (BHG). Visitors to BHG.com will be directed to download a voucher for free admission into any participating public garden on National Public Gardens Day (Friday, May 11, 2012). Not only does this generous offer help to promote public gardens through a highly influential publication, but it can also lead to potential memberships through visitation.
